I'm personally writing to let you know something of great importance and urgency at WOW.FM.

First let me say it has been such a joy for a year now, putting WOW.FM up on the Internet as a way to reach the world for Christ and to be able to not only minister with God's word but through the music as well. It's hard, almost impossible to find a Christian Station that plays CCM and Billboard's Top 100 hits from the 70's to today, especially Hard-To-Find Christian hits from the 70's and 80's, and WOW.FM does it all, in CD quality!

Here are just a few emails that we've received regarding WOW.FM:

"I´ve been listening to your station now and it´s GREAT! It sounds very, very good on the net here in Europe! I think it´s a good idea to mix secular and christian bands, in order to get a wider audience! God will bless this work!"

I hope that you've had a chance to listen to WOW.FM yourself (http://www.mainstreamnetwork.com/listen/player.asp?station=wowfm&) and see what a great signal and sound the station puts out over the Internet. About the same quality as CD and the music is focused on a 25-54 age audience, but we know we're reaching a wider listener ship than that and we're thankful!

With the Economy in the dump right now, I really didn't know how to go about this except to just be honest with everyone and see where God takes this next hurtle.

There are bills coming down the pike that need to be met by April 7th (*New Date), and if we can't pay these bills, we will be forced to shut down WOW.FM.

*Here's some good news just in! MainstreamNetwork.com (http://www.mainstreamnetwork.com/) who is our streaming provider has given us a gift of one additional month of broadband usage without charging us so that we might have extra time to raise our $6000 budget for 2010. This is such a blessing and we are honored by their offering.

"But" if YOU don't give financially to help us meet the budget then this extra month is useless!

We don't won't to shut down operations here at WOW.FM, but we will have no other choice unless these needs are met. The bills are to cover only bottom line on-air and production expenses and do not cover any salaries, and we are 100% Listener Supported!

I think most of you know that WOW.FM is under the umbrella of GOD Works! Inc. which is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, Tax Exempt Corporation so we are able to give receipts for tax purposes. CCM Great Passes Away Today

Please keep the family and friends of CCM Artist, Tom Howard in your thoughts and prayers. Tom had a heart attack today while hiking at Edwin Warner Park in Nashville and passed away. He's been a good friend of many in the music and Christian circles since the '70s and is already missed terribly!

Tom Howard was an American pianist, musical arranger, orchestral conductor, and an Christian artist. Howard helped numerous bands and artists, especially within the Christian Music Industry (CCM). You can view Tom's Discography here:

Is The Cross Bloody Or Sugarcoated?

People just don't want to hear the Gospel today. That is, that men are sinful and wicked by nature and deserve judgement. But for what Christ did on the cross, and man's willingness to humble himself and ask forgiveness and go to that cross, the penalty of sin is death.

Most people today even without a relationship with Jesus Christ say they love God and his creation but are missing the mark. Even Christians are for the most part, compassionate with huge hearts, but for every person who desires Eternal Life with Christ, the process starts at the Cross. Remember the cross is bloody not sugar coated, and the Gospel is not entertainment.

Life in Jesus is a wonderful road to walk, full of challenges, but it's God's strength through his Holy Spirit that brings inner peace and a heart full of joy and thankfulness that can never be traded for anything.

Will You Help WOW.FM Stay On The Air?

Hi everyone! With 2010 here, we hope that everyone will pray and reach out this year to those who are really struggling from uncontrollable circumstances. As a Christian, our hearts always go out to those who find themselves in need of help & compassion. Our friendship, labor, and Christ's love go out to each and everyone of you.

Please consider giving to WOW.FM to help us meet the basic bills that are due this year. We are a small operation/ministry and to run an Internet radio station full time is expensive. There are expenses to cover equipment, maintenance, broadband usage, royalty fees, production and utilities just to mention some of the cost, and this is only the base to cover the cost to keep the station on the air. If some of the bills are not met by the end of February, 2010, we will have to pull the plug and go dark. Being listener supported and a Non-Profit, we rely on the gifts & giving from our WOW.FM listenership entirely.

WOW.FM is a 501(c)(3) Corporation, so any donation that you make will go directly to help keep us On-The-Air for 2010, and every dollar you give is tax-deductible. Personally we don't enjoy asking for help with this because we know how tight money can be, but to be good stewards with what God has entrusted to us, and to also let our request be known (publicly), we are letting you know with humility.
