All you Christian Indie Bands and Artists out there, feel free;(6) to submit songs for review and a possible add to our playlist.
From "influentials" to personalities, several radio pros have hopped on board to contribute and volunteer their concepts and direction to WOW.FM, which defines this incredibly unique sound:
Jhani Kaye (kearth101.com) (lfpost.com) is a busy man;(7) creating that beautiful sound;(8) as the program director for CBS's K-Earth 101 & 94.7 The Wave, Los Angeles. Jhani has received several honorary awards for his service and contributions to radio over his many years in broadcasting. To date, Jhani Kaye is the longest running programmer of a single station in L.A. radio history. Other L.A. stations that Jhani has programmed and sent their ratings soaring threw the roof are, KFI, KOST, and KBIG.
Scott Rummell (scottrummell.com) is the voice for WOW.FM. Scott, keeping busy in Hollywood, is no outlaw;(9) to "American Idol." No, no, he's not a singing sensation, but he is a voice sensation as "one of the country's top voiceover artists," he can be heard on "The Bachelorette," "Oprah," "Angels & Demons," "The Incredible Hulk," "Bolt," "Terminator Salvation." If that doesn't sound familiar, maybe this will help, "I am the born ruler of Atlantis." Scott is the voice of Aquaman!
Arnie McClatchey (kelpradio.com) has been a tremendous help for WOW.FM, and is anything from typical;(10). Arnie's best known for launching and pioneering the first contemporary Christian radio station in the US back in the 70's, KYMS, in Southern California. Arnie has also helped artists such as the Carpenters achieve success by hand picking some of their songs from their demo reel before they went to vinyl and became platinum. Arnie is also instrumental for creating and launching Pastor Chuck Smith's, "Word For Today" daily program and the "Night Of Joy" Christian entertainment at Disneyland and Disney World!
Ray Avila (iradioimaging.com) is the Imaging Producer for WOW.FM. Ray worked for KFI in Los Angeles as their Imaging Director and has won several New York Festival awards for Imaging and Production during his career. Currently, Ray is busy with his own company producing for major market stations such as WABC, New York and WTKK, Boston and the Citadel Broadcasting Network. Ray enjoys some good vibrations from Taco Bell, even though we remind him there's no need to indulge, and he better wise up;(11).
Greg Ogonowski (indexcom.com) is rock solid;(12) when it comes to engineering. He is instrumental in launching WOW.FM on the Apple i-Phone worldwide, which represents about 49 million users to date. Greg is a broadcast chief engineer and sound designer. One station that he's responsible for helping put on the air in the Los Angeles market is the legendary rock station, KROQ when it turned to the " Rock of the Eighties" format. Greg is now VP Product Development at Orban and is also responsible for the co-creation of the Orban Optimod-PC and the Opticodec-PC. The quality of WOW.FM's sound is better than satellite and HD radio, thanks to Greg.
Lastly, we're a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, Tax Exempt Corporation, and report all music played on WOW.FM to Sound Exchange for royalty purposes. WOW.FM was launched to minister and entertain, by bringing a message of hope in Jesus Christ. We developed this very unique format with time and care. Remember God works in Mysterious Ways;(13) but you don't have to! You can help us with the growth and expansion of the station with your honest comments and ideas. You're always welcome at WOW.FM.
Radio that makes a difference! This has been our passion and drive since 1977. Can't you tell by my photo, circa 1980? We're working every day to be your radio station on the Internet, so help spread the word and let the whole world sing;(14) with WOW.FM, Radio Without Boundaries.
